Make confident renovation design decisions before they're expensive to change.

Before you approve your renovation plans, have an experienced interior designer pressure-test the decisions that will shape how your home looks, functions and feels to live in.

In one private 60-minute session, we'll work through the design decisions you're unsure about - from layout and cabinetry to storage, lighting and finishes - so you know what to change, what to keep and what to confidently approve.

You'll leave knowing:

Which decisions could improve the way your home functions every day.

What deserves another look before construction begins.

Where your renovation budget will have the greatest impact.

What you can confidently approve and move forward with.

Your session includes your personalised Renovation Decision Blueprint™, so you have a clear record of the decisions, recommendations and next steps from our session.

Private 60-Minute Strategy Session. Investment:  $997 AUD

The biggest renovation regrets aren't usually the expensive ones.  They're the design decisions you didn't know to question.

→ A kitchen that looks beautiful - but is frustrating to cook in.

→ A pantry that's full of cupboards - but doesn't fit the things you actually use.

→ An island that's too large for the space.

→ A bathroom that looks generous on the plan - but doesn't work for two people getting ready on a busy morning.

→ Storage that seemed plentiful - until you moved in.

These aren't bad renovations.  They're the everyday problems that happen when design decisions are made without stepping back to ask:

Will this actually work for the way we live?

And once construction starts, changing those decisions can become expensive, disruptive or simply impossible.

The best time to question your renovation is before you approve it.

Why An Interior Design Review?

Your builder designs it to be built. I help ensure it's designed to be lived in.

Your architect, builder and cabinetmaker each bring essential expertise to your renovation.

My role is different.  I look at the decisions that shape how you'll actually live in the finished home.

That means asking questions such as:

Will your kitchen work when two people are cooking, someone is unloading groceries and the kids are coming through?

✔ Is your storage designed around what you actually own and use?

✔ Will your bathroom work for busy mornings now—and as your needs change?

✔ Does the layout support how you relax, entertain and move through the home?

✔ Are you spending your renovation budget on changes that will genuinely improve everyday life?

It's the interior design perspective that sits between what's on the plan and what it's actually like to live there.

What You'll Walk Away With

From second-guessing your decisions to confidently moving your renovation forward.

By the end of your Renovation Design Review™, you'll know:

✔  What to change before it becomes expensive to do so.

✔  What to keep because it's already working.

✔  What to question with your builder, architect or cabinetmaker.

✔  Where to prioritise your budget for the greatest impact.

✔  What to approve so you can move forward without continually wondering if you've missed something.

You'll also receive your personalised Renovation Decision Blueprint™ - your clear record of the recommendations, priorities and next steps from our session.

The result: fewer unknowns, better design decisions and the confidence to move into construction knowing you've done your due diligence.

Why Trust Me?

More than 20 years of seeing what works and what doesn't.

I've worked across interior design, residential renovations and construction project management, giving me a perspective that goes beyond what looks good on a plan.

I've seen how design decisions translate into:

→ how a family moves through a home

→ where everyday bottlenecks appear

→ whether storage actually works

→ how cabinetry affects workflow

→ where renovation budgets deliver real value

→ and which decisions become frustrating once they're built

You're not paying for another opinion. You're paying for experience that helps you see what you can't always see on the plan.

How It Works:

Client Results

“We thought we needed to extend.”

We were convinced we needed to extend to get the kitchen and living space we wanted. Kate looked at the existing layout and showed us we could achieve what we needed without adding more space. We changed the layout instead of committing to the extension, which saved us around $40,000 in building costs. We ended up with a home that worked better for us without the bigger renovation.  Tash H., Brisbane

“We were ready to approve the cabinetry.”

We were ready to sign off on our kitchen cabinetry when Kate reviewed the plans. She picked up issues with the workflow, storage and appliance placement that we hadn't noticed because we'd been looking at the plans for so long. We made the changes before the joinery went into production, rather than discovering the problems once it was installed. It was one of those decisions that could have been incredibly expensive to fix later.  Emily S., Mornington Peninsula

“We finally knew what to do next.”

We'd been going around in circles with our renovation decisions for months. We had so many opinions and so many options that we couldn't work out what actually mattered. Kate helped us work through the decisions, identify what needed to change and prioritise what we needed to do next. We stopped second-guessing every choice and could finally move forward with the renovation knowing we'd made the right calls.  Maya W., Gold Coast

A 60-minute private Renovation Design Review™ with an experienced interior designer.

You're not paying for an hour on Zoom.

You're paying for the preparation, professional judgement and clarity that comes from having an experienced interior designer challenge the decisions before you commit to them.

One small design change identified now can be worth significantly more than the cost of the review once construction begins.

Private 60-Minute Strategy Session. Investment:  $997 AUD

Each session includes individual preparation and a detailed review of your project before we meet.

If you're approaching a key renovation decision, book your session before those plans are locked in.

Before you approve the plans, make sure you've asked the right questions.

Your renovation will only be built once.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a full interior design service?

No. The Renovation Design Review™ is a focused, one-off service designed to help you make better interior design decisions before construction begins.

When should I book?

Ideally before you approve your floor plans, cabinetry, electrical layouts or major selections - while there is still time to make changes.

Is this only for whole-home renovations?

No. You can use the session for a single-room renovation, a major renovation or a new build where you want an independent interior design perspective on the decisions affecting your home.

Can my partner attend?

Absolutely. I encourage both decision-makers to attend so you can discuss and agree on the recommendations together.

What if I don't know what I need help with yet?

What if my builder or architect has already reviewed the plans?

That's okay. You don't need to arrive with a list of design questions.

Your plans, questionnaire and pre-session review give us a starting point. I'll help identify the decisions worth discussing and where I see opportunities to improve the design.

That's exactly why this service can be valuable.

They each bring a different area of expertise. This is an interior design review focused on how the finished home will function and feel to live in.

What happens after the session?

I have another question that isn't answered here...

You'll receive your Renovation Decision Blueprint™, the session recording and three business days of designer support for follow-up questions.

Happy to help. Just send me a quick message [insert link to contact form or email] and I’ll get back to you with a clear answer - no pressure, no push.

This session is a premium experience designed to remove confusion, not add to it.
